Have you written an e-book recently? Do you want to make more money with it? The best way to make more money with your e-book is by selling more copies of your e-book!
If your e-book is not selling as well as you would like (or if it is not selling at all), you are not alone. Every week solopreneurs contact me to ask for help with marketing their e-books. Here are two of the most common stories of e-books not selling:
- A service professional has spent hundreds of hours writing an interesting e-book, had a copywriter create a sales letter for the e-book and put the e-book up for sale on the web site. It has been a year since the e-book was released, and the service professional has sold a grand total of two copies. For more details go to www.ebook-creation-toolkit.com. He has invested a lot of time and money into the e-book and wants to get some return on that investment. What should he do now?
- A coach has seen many of her colleagues release e-books. She decided to do the same thing. She has created an e-book put it up on her web site. She has posted information about the e-book on a few coaching lists, but no one is coming to check out the e-book on her web site. How can she get people to at least come to check out the e-book on her web site?
Does this sound familiar? If your e-books are not selling, you are not alone. Many service professionals have told me that they have spent many hours creating an e-book, only to post it on their web site and find out that it is not selling.
Do you want to know why this is happening and how to prevent this from happening to your e-book? Here is how:
- Your target market may not even be interested in the e-book. Sometimes service professionals are too excited about the idea that they create an e-book without finding out if their target market is interested in buying it.
Remember, your target market must want to buy your e-book in order for the e-book to sell and make you money. Before you invest time and money into an idea, survey your target market and make sure that the topic for your product resonates with your target audience.
- Your e-book is not priced for the target market. This is a common mistake that I see service professionals make. Many service professionals under price their e-books, thinking that they will get more sales by doing this.
Unfortunately, this is not true. Since the e-book has many benefits and a low price, your potential customers doubt that what you are promising them is true. Great benefits and a low price usually sound too good to be true. Therefore, many people just pass on your great offer. Instead, these people buy from someone else who sells their e-books at a higher price.
Many times I have seen that sales of e-books have gone up once the price was increased. Spend some time on researching your product pricing; this is a very crucial part of your overall e-book marketing plan.
- You do not market your product effectively. Many solopreneurs put up a product on their web site and expect it to sell. The truth is that a product will not sell on its own. To have consistent product sales you need to drive web site traffic to your product page every single day.
If you want to earn money with your e-books and teleseminars, make sure that your target market is interested in buying them, price your products correctly and market them effectively.

Feed Your Mind By Reading Books
If you've been wondering where to look for the best new volumes in the world of business today, you should rejoice. There are some fantastic books newly out and they can be purchased at any online book retailers and most of them can be picked up at your local bookstores. The ones that have taken the bestseller list by storm are usually the best ones from a contextual and informational standpoint, though this is not always the case. Sometimes a book's popularity has more to do with garnering the right publicity. Still, the bestseller list is always a good place to start, particularly when it comes to those books that have held on to their spots for some time. These books have benefited not only from marketing campaigns, but likely from a widespread word of mouth. Here are some of the best new business books out there, to give you a head start in your reading endeavors. One book that has made a difference in lives everywhere for the last year or so is called The 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris. Ferris uses everyday language and colorful examples to show how anyone can transition from a full-time, old style career into a method of workology that is being embraced by thousands the world over. He advocates taking advantage of the here and now, rather than putting off the relaxations and joys of retirement to a point in your life where you're no longer able to enjoy them. Of course, he also offers a strategy to get to a point in your life where you can afford to do this.William Bonner has taken over the bestseller lists with, Mobs, Messiahs, and Markets. This book takes a close look at the massive amount of popular, yet wrongheaded, thought that guides many people's decisions when it comes to investing in the stock market. With years of successful stock market experience under his belt, Bonner comes to the table as a qualified expert. He shows through theory and example why you should learn to trust your own instincts and knowledge when it comes to playing the market, and why you should never follow the crowd if you hope to make a living off your stock portfolio.A book called, Results that Last by Quint Studier takes a look at the strategies and insights that will help your company survive and prosper over the long haul. This information is especially important for small business owners that have found a wealth of knowledge on how to get started but little on how to keep their businesses successful. Many businesses have to close their doors within the first five years because they don't know the techniques necessary to keep their profit margins in the black. This book takes a look at the importance of positive leadership skills and the foresight to catch problems before they sink the ship. These three books will give you a jumping off point, but be sure to browse the Amazon bestseller list and recommended books to find more texts that can help turn you into the well rounded businessman you'll need to be to succeed in the marketplace. The most successful business owner large or small, will usually get their determination by reading books like these. There are many books out there to read and many types of subjects. Choose what will interest you and soak them up. You will eventually see the results in your personal life as well as in your business.

Why Ebook Reader Enjoy Book Reading?
E-book replace the extra load form the life of bookish people. I am also an e-book reader and switch over for paper made book reading to e-book reading few years back continuing this comfortable cutting edge technology for a long time. The most attractive part of e-books is they are enormously portable and you can send a large book in the form of e-book to you friends just like an email attachment. A book writer transfers his view and thought in a book in the printed text format and he or she sale it to the market and earns money. In case of e-book a writer can also publish his e-book in some e-book publishing site. He can offer reviews copy to other writer in some e-book forums. So every thing just like traditional and the process is depending on digital format.
In a book there some other contributors like cover designer and graphics designer who make it more attractive for the readers. To present an e-book in a standard form a computer graphics designer uses some good colorful cover design to attract more e-book reader. The sound effect in an e-book mane it a live conversation with the writer and an e-book reader enjoy book reading by listening the sound effects. An e-book seller sale it under some password protection environment and concerned e-book reader buy these e-book by paying electronics money. Then buyer gets a link URL in a secured mail and he or she can download these electronics file in his or her computer without difficulties. E-book reader software is required for reading this special file format (generally in .pdf format). These are just like your traditional book but the main advantage of e-book is faster in case of distribution and to sale these e-books you don’t need retail book stores. You can open an online 24 hr open e-book store on the Internet.

THEORY OF BOOK READING
Naturally being a professor and a writer, I value books. I have read a good number of books of various kinds. I did take down notes in my journal regularly. At times, I look back those pages to recollect what I liked in those books. Most of the books whether they are novels, short stories, poems, self-help ones or scientific did motivate me. Such motivations are useful only if we practice within one or two days. Otherwise they are of no use! That was my experience too. It seems only 10% of the book buyers read beyond the first chapter. If that is true, a lot of money is being wasted!Unfortunately, reading has become the practice of the past. Although there are attempts at various quarters for promotion of book reading such as book clubs, exhibitions, community and college libraries, people are not very much bothered to read.In some families parents advise children to read books of their choice. Reading is a good exercise for mind and body. The best time for reading I found, was early morning. The absorption of the read material by our brain is very much. You can try, if you don’t know already. It’s a fact because I tried it.It’s always advisable to make it a habit of reading for one hour every morning. The book one chooses may be of one’s choice based on one’s interest. Students may prefer to read their text books whereas others may prefer other type of books.I consider that books are the best friends and treasures one acquires during our life time. They stimulate our creative thinking. General knowledge is very important nowadays for our life. We need to live up-to-date. The world is changing so fast that we have to cope up with it. So learning becomes a continuous process all through our life. The books we buy, we read and digest have to be preserved in our home library for others to use them. Every family should have a home library which has to be built up by adding read books over time. It should be used by the members and friends of the family. In today’s world, knowledge is fed to people through computers, television, mobiles etc., because people do not have time to read books. This is not acceptable, because people while traveling long distances either by train or by air have lot of time which can be used for reading not for sleeping. Also as I mentioned earlier, one hour every morning is possible for every one to grab from their daily routine. So, even in this age of electronic life, everybody has little time for reading books.I feel that the helpfulness of books has to be evaluated properly for different age groups, because it is essential in today’s context. Education has spread like wild fire in the whole world and more particularly in our country – India. Almost no one feels they have been harmed by reading books. One stops reading a book if he or she does not like it.Scientific evaluation by conducting surveys and interviews in a community of people, will reveal the present position of book reading culture. Ways and means can be found for improving or encouraging people to read books. Such activity may be initiated by local associations, Non-governmental organizations, social societies, even libraries and government organizations. These evaluations will bring out the real reading habits of our people.Book exhibitions can be organized in small towns to encourage people to buy books and read, in stead of all sorts of exhibitions which only to help us to buy household items and other wasteful things. Think of books and read good books to gather knowledge and become wise.

What a Book Can Do for You!
When you become an author you instantly gained several advantages to help you promote your practice. I'm not talking about "best seller" or being the next Tom Peters or John Grisham. I'm talking about becoming an author for one purpose and one purpose only that is boosting sales and income.
A Book Gives You Credibility
People ever written books are perceived as experts. Prospects see your name and face on a book cover and in our culture, you are viewed as credible and as an authority figure. Plain and simple, the more credible you are the more sales you will make. Why? Because people will trust you more.
Let's say a magazine that your prospects read all the time has an opening for a regular column on your topic. They put the word out that they are looking for possible people to write that column. You think it would be great exposure; and you would be right.
They receive several submissions but you submit your proposal all along with a copy of your book on the same topic. Now who would you think will be invited to write a column? Of course, the author will get the gig.
Jean Ann Dorrell is a financial advisor to seniors in Florida. Her market is crowded with competitors. Her book “Protect Yourself; Everything Seniors Need to Know to Avoid Being Taken Financially” gives her a very unique and credible position in her marketplace.
A Book Gives You FREE Advertising
Despite popular opinion to the opposite radio stations, TV shows, magazines, newspapers are looking to give you free publicity. They start every day with an empty page and. They want to give you exposure.
The value of this seems obvious but when you are visible and people see you on TV or hear you on the radio, it helps your business. A book has given me over $5 million of free advertising.
Anita Jackson has been featured on local and national radio and TV because of her book. She uses the book to gain publicity for her coaching program.
A Book Helps You Differentiate Yourself from the Competition
There are thousands of people who offer what you offer. Why should they buy from you? Competition is stiff today!
Imagine this, a real estate agent is making a presentation to the owners of a nice house worth over $2 million. Of course, they will likely interview several agents before granting the listing to one of them. Before leaving our imaginary agent says something like this "Mr. Jones, I know and fully expect you will speak with several agents before making this important decision. Cannot ask you to do just one thing before making that decision? What you'll need one of the chapters in my book entitled how to find a real estate agent you can trust", then he autographs a copy of his book for the homeowner. What is just happened to his competition? Obliterated!
Real estate Yogen Dhanik uses a book to differentiate himself in the tough and crowded real estate market of San Francisco.
A Book Helps You Get Referrals
One dead as we know offers his book "The Winning Smile" to his existing patients. He tells them to give a free copy of this book to their friends. In the book itself which he autographs in advance, he offers a free first visit for friends of existing patients. He's busier than ever before.
Dave O, author of the book "The Millionaire Genius" uses his book to build instant rapport for his direct sales organization. He needs to recruit thousands of agents and his book pre sells him to prospects and gets the whole sales force motivated to introduce him to their friends and prospects.
Major Mohan has tens of thousands of people in his sales organization. They all use his book to recruit and get the word out about his company.
Doctor, Your Medicine Is Killing Me! was written by health and wellness coach Pete Coussa to give him the platform he needed to teach his philosophy of wellbeing.
A Book Opens Doors
Christian Warren wanted to meet CEOs of large enterprises to offer his unique high and Internet architectural services. The problem is that CEOs always referred him down to the IT department. He knew that they Union Bay and approve sales, they would need to sell the CEO eventually, why not bypass all that?
But how could he get in? Well, he writes a book entitled "Running with the Rhinos" a book on leadership. It's a topic of great interest to his target audience. Now, before making a sales call to the CEO he sends them a copy of this book along with an autographed which includes the following
Dear Mr. CEO
My mentor told me that I should give my book to the hundred most positive people in this city, I hear you're one of them. Enjoy the book!
Yours truly,
Adewale Adebambo

A Book Attracts Prospects
Instead of cold calling or any other outdated rejection based strategy, why not make the people who are likely to buy your product or service, come directly to you?
How? Do what Rozieta Shaary did. Every week she would advertise her practice with an ad that cost or $1500. She would typically receive 15 to 20 calls every time that ad ran she thought she could do better. After attending our seminar, I I showed her how to write a book and offer it for free in that. The result? She consistently gets 500 phone calls at every three days from the same $1500 ad.
Rozieta Shaary uses her book to boost advertising response.

Write a letter simply ask for the information want. In writing letters requesting information on subjects you don't know much about, it helps to end your letter "… and any other details you may deem useful'. Writing letters so brings more information.> Letters of application for a job or a grant should have wider margins for reader-notes, and bear in mind any closing dates. When you write a letter of application briefly emphasize how you meet the criteria. Say 'available for interview', and do print your name. >> Letters to officials may need to be long, detailed; but writing letters that are so is easy. You may have to write letters arguing with business or official letters received; or to explain, detail, enclose documents; or write a letter to summon a politician's aid. Writing letters that are official does not require high literacy. Not high literacy but method involves writing letters that are official. When you write a letter to deal with letters requesting specific details and documents, in your letter simply respond in the order they are listed. Where business letters or other official letters request details generally, or if you are initiating correspondence by a writing a letter, first draft your letter -it helps in writing a letter.Letters are easily, best drafted thus: For your letter's rough copy use lined paper. Draft your letter in pencil, leaving every other line blank. Jot down and number the points you will raise in the letter. Then stop working on your letter.Take a break from writing your letter; do something unrelated to writing a letter. You want to write a letter to make those points. Let your mind 'digest' the points you will raise in your letter. Later look at your letter again, put other points that occur to you on the blank lines. Re-number the points of your letter as you think logical. But don't hurry up to write a letter, yet. Sleep on it.Then look at the draft letter, amend as necessary, write your letter.Begin your letter by stating clearly what you want. End the letter briefly, simply, clearly repeating what you want. When letter writing ends, enclose copies of any documents in the order of your letter's points -number, list them if they are many. How to write a letter that is complicated is that easy and simple -that makes seemingly difficult to write letters easy to write letters.>>> Writing Personal NotesUnlike writing letters, notes are informal -sometimes important.> Routine notes may not be important: "Your dinner's in the oven," or to the milkman: "Two bottles today, please." >> Social etiquette notes that are expected may be important. Many do not write letters to socially invite or let another know that one will attend a party, or to thank another. Instead of writing letters they write social notes -to acquaintances, or strangers. As in letter writing, notes cause impressions to be formed about one. These brief notes have the same tone as when writing letters informally, but must be courteous and polite. In inviting someone, one example is: "Hi, Nancy.. I'm having my birthday party, on ....., and it'd be so nice if you too could come. Love, Jenny." Another example is: "Dear Mr. & Mrs. ... we are having a house-warming party on ..... and we would love to have you too. Yours, Jo & Joe." In accepting an invitation one example is: "How nice! See you then! Jenny." Another example is: "So kind of you to invite us too -we will both be delighted to attend. Yours, Eric." If you are courteous, polite, recipients will mention you favourably when they write letters, will speak well of you in your social circles.>> Sympathy notes must be written carefully. These are e.g., get-well notes, sometimes on cards; or, to express condolences to someone who is in mourning -when most do not write a letter but a note.> A get well note or card, whether to a close relative away and you also write a letter, or on its own, is always more appreciated if one adds a personal touch to it. For example, if to a friend and it is not serious, "Don't take your time about getting well -we haven't finished our chess game yet…"; if to a friend, and it is serious, "I'll pray for your speedy recovery." An example, if it is to someone you hardly know and are sending it as the done-thing in your social or business circles, is: "I will look forward to hearing of your recovery from mutual friends and colleagues.">In bereavement cases never try to cheer up in a sympathy note with a joke; however well meant, in one's grief it may be deemed unfeeling, inappropriate!.. Leave the comforting to the mourner's loved ones from whom more than a sympathy note is considered appropriate! Be, or appear, sincerely saddened by the loss. Clearly state so: "I am saddened by the news of ...'s death." Say: "I am so sorry to hear of your loss." Show so by emphasizing it, e.g., "… he/she will be greatly missed." Unless a loved one writing a letter too, if you don't attempt to comfort, it will be appreciated.>> Notes to loved ones matter most. On an anniversary or birthday greeting never be satisfied with what's on the greeting card. Even if to a loved one away and accompanied by a loving letter, always personalize the card with a few words of your own, e.g., "Miss you!" or "Love you!" or "Take care."
The feelings of parents are -from a poem by the Cypriot thinker writer poet teacher the late Orhan Seyfi Ari:
"With us he was, in our nest, only yesterday...How quickly has he grown wings, like a bird, flown away!"
As in personal letters, it shows that you are not greeting as the done thing -that you care. Anyone can write a letter. Family/friends away appreciate letters.

How to Write a Persuasive Essay
Writing a persuasive essay is much like preparing for a debate. You need to study your persuasive essay topic from various perspectives, establish your main argument and gather supporting evidence. You also need to know how to write a persuasive essay, namely how to organize parts of the persuasive essay in the way that will work best.
Try the following instructions on how to write a persuasive essay. They are indispensable in writing a well-planned and thoroughly considered persuasive essay.
1.Start with an Impressive Lead-In
The introduction of your persuasive essay is the first words you utter to render the readers to be well-disposed to you. Moreover, it is by the introduction that the reader decides whether to go on reading you essay or leave it in peace. Thus, the introduction of your essay should be attention grabbing and impressive enough to induce the reader to read further on.
Writing a persuasive essay, you need to pay particular attention to the first sentence you are going to write down, namely a lead-in. It is the most important part of the whole persuasive essay, out of which you come out either a winner or a loser.
To write a strong and impressive lead-in, try the following strategies:7.start with an unusual detail;8.put a strong statement;9.quote a famous person;10.introduce a short and up-to-the-point anecdote;11.open the essay with a statistic or fact;12.start with an emphatic rhetorical question;
Before deciding on one of the strategies, try all of them. You will be surprised to find out how different strategies can enrich and smarten up the introduction to your persuasive essay.
After you have put the opening sentence, be sure to introduce a sentence that will show that you see both pros and cons of the subject matter under consideration. Then write a thesis or focus statement, which has to reveal your own point of view. A well-formulated thesis statement is the key to success, as it is the central part of your essay, around which all other parts are organized.
Remember that a good introduction should be brief, concise and end with a closing sentence that will be transitional to the next paragrath.
2.Support Your Thesis in the Body
The body of your persuasive essay is the main part of your writing where you present supporting evidence and elaborate on the reasons you stated previously. The body should be a proof that you have researched and examined your persuasive essay topic and that your arguments are reasonable and reliable.
In order to prove your thesis statement and dispel the opposing arguments, you need to: 1) state the facts of the case; 2) prove your thesis with arguments; and 3) disprove your opponent's arguments in three consecutive steps.
Statement of facts is a non-argumentative presentation of details, summaries and narration concerning the problem discussion. In this part of the body you should present supporting evidence without stating your own point of view and trying to persuade the readers in it.
First, you should remind the readers of some events, provide vivid illustrations that will show the significance of the topic. Statement of facts should be clear, brief, and vivid. If you obscure the facts, you are defeating the purpose. Thus, delete irrelevant information and information which contributes little to the reader's understanding.
After you've introduced some facts, you can get down to proving your thesis with arguments. This should be the longest section and the central part of your persuasive essay. With the readers rendered attentive by the introduction and informed by the statement of fact, you must show why your position concerning the facts should be accepted and believed.
Now comes the time to deny the truth on which the opposing argument is built. Be patient in thinking over the refutation. It is the most difficult stage that needs time, concentration and absorption.
The proven way to hook readers' attention is to leave your strongest argument for last so that to leave them with your best thought.
3.Write a Memorable Conclusion.
Your conclusion should be a "mirror image" of your introduction. It means that you should refresh the reader's memory and remind him of the thesis statement you put in the introduction. It is not a mere waste of time or words, but the best way to convince the reader to take your side.
As well as in writing the introduction, you can try several ways to write a memorable conclusion for your persuasive essay.
Except for restating the introduction, you can summarize the main points to enable the readers to recall the main points of your position.
A nice way to conclude the persuasive essay is to write a personal comment or call for action. It could be: 1) your prediction; 2) a question that will let the readers make their own predictions; 3) your recommendations to solve a problem; 4) a quotation. It's up to you to decide!
The last line of your persuasive essay, that is the "tag line," needs special attention, for it is the second most important line after the lead-in. Thus, it is important that it:4.renders the readers to be well disposed to you;5.magnifies your points;6.puts the readers in the proper mood.
Once you have put the full stop after the "tag line", your work is over. But make sure that the words you have put in your persuasive essay will be "working" long after your readers stop reading it.
