Benefit of Reading Books!

You are the same today as you will be in five years, except for the people you meet and the books you read"

This quote of Charlie "Tremendous" Jones is the essence of why people should read books. This is why we would like our children to spend lots of time in reading books.

Not only that Reading books is one of the most contenting activities, it opens the reader mind, and expands the reader's horizons. It enables people to travel by their imaginary wings and experience adventures and new lands.

But reading is not only a pleasure. It is also most important, and for many reasons. Some of these reasons are very practical. Reading had become a fundamental need in life. It is well known that adults that have read at younger age are more prepared for life requirement for productivity in the future.

The vast inventory of books provides endless opportunities to the readers, no matter their age, to experience and study subjects such as science, physics, mythology, philosophy, financenew age, cooking, biographies, medicine and so on. The list is actually endless.

People and specifically Children that are exposed to this endless inventory expand their vocabulary and consequently their understanding and knowledge.

In the introduction of computers and web based information technology, people had predicted that printed books would vanish. However, it happened that this technology actually increased the amount of information that is being read. Also, the web based information technology exposed the written word to larger population. A new trend has also emerged, E-books. Reading, now days, is not only based on printed information. Reading is accomplished also online, and by E-books that are available on the internet for everyone.

A wonderful quote, by Joseph Addison, succeeds to compose the reading importance and the reading joy. The quote runs as follows:

"Books are the legacies that a great genius leaves to mankind, which are delivered from generation to generation as presents to posterity of those who are yet unborn"

Reading Books About World War II

Today it becomes important for all to read books about World War II and the events that led to the catastrophe that changed the lives of all people on our earth. It is important for us to know our history.

World War II had far-reaching effects on people, politics, and economy, country and in short the entire life. By studying World War II as a subject, one can get an insight and valuable lessons for all of us.

After reading about World War II, you will be filled with a sense of awe and also feel grateful for your peaceful existence in the present times. You will be thankful for what life has offered you.

The sufferings of the people in Eastern Europe in 194os can move one's heart and fill us with a sense of loss and despair. But then one also starts viewing our life as it is today with a new perspective and begin to thank god for the mercy.

They say that History repeats itself. This is true, for we can see that all through the evolution of the earth, every civilization has seen wars and struggles going on in one or the other part of the earth. This seems to have been the order of the day all over for different reasons and causes, but fighting seems to be inherent in the nature of mankind on earth. You begin to see the pattern when you read about world history.

By reading the past world history and civilizations we get to understand and see where people made mistakes and countries blundered. But then why is it that we do not seem to learn from these mistakes but continue to repeat the same mistakes all the time? Surely Adolf Hitler was not the first man to commit atrocities against people, nor was America the first nation to use slaves. What is it that prompts us to repeat the same mistakes others have made in the past.

Read world history and you will begin to understand what man is doing to one another and running around and doing things that can only destroy himself and his environment.

The awareness that one gets by reading books about World War II might prompt us to look at the direction that all countries need to follow in future for the overall benefit of human society.

WHY WE NO LONGER READ BOOKS

Through the strength of intellectual effort backed with the God factor, it is of immense pleasure to annunciate to the world a come-to-stay interest, the classic, titled ‘Why We No Longer Read Books'. No doubt, it is certainly a benefit-yielding interest for all and sundry.

Why We No Longer Read Books is a rare-to-find masterpiece that sheds light on reasons book-reading culture has declined over the years. It asserts the fact that book-reading culture decline is not only limited to the black race, a contradiction of the notions of many peoples of the world. However, it maintains a stance that book reading in the form of acquired qualitative information is the bedrock behind man's witty inventions, wealth and other virtues of benefit to humanity.

It is a three-chapter work piece that unveils three major reasons book-reading culture has undoubtedly experienced a fall, irrespective of race. The following reasons which constitute the chapters of the readable material are listed below:

(A) Chapter one points a reason for the decline in most people's attitude towards book reading as the failure on the part of parents to properly inculcate the culture or habit of book reading in the growing years of their children or wards. Unarguably, the interest asserts that the foundation of book-reading culture begins from the home front and parents play a pivotal role in ‘enforcing' the act on their children. Hence, the incompetence of parents to discipline their wards in the light of reading quality books is what the classic states as one of the reasons people no longer read books.

(B) Chapter two unequivocally recognizes the fact that one of the major reasons people no longer read books as they use to is the thirst or craze for material, wealth or money acquisition. It unveils the verity that people have prioritize acquiring wealth and money over book reading, perhaps owing to changing and increasing demands of the world. Why We No Longer Read Books sees this factor as one of the reasons behind people's seeming non-chalant attitude towards book reading. Interestingly, it brings to cognizance the role of reading books as the bedrock behind all forms of wealth and material acquisition.

(C) Chapter three states irrefutably that another reason behind people not reading books especially amongst growing youths is the preference of academic/educational pursuit over the fundamentally important book-reading culture. Not bad per se the pursuit of academic or educational goals, the write-up observes factually that most institutes of higher learning impose seemingly insurmountable workloads that make students ‘abandon' book reading for the pursuit of their imminent academic accomplishments. Yet, the truth-unveiling classic explains the uniqueness of education or academics as being deeply rooted in book reading.

Interestingly, Why We No Longer Read Books concludes, following the Shakespearian assertion: ‘If you are not informed, you are deformed', that one of the factors, distinguishing an individual at present and in future is the quality of books read.

The target audience is the youth and it is very marketable in book stores, as an educational material and a home package. Also, libraries and other education-supporting outfits can find this classic very useful. Therefore your assistance towards the publication of this great work will be appreciated. Without a doubt, profitability and world fame await you.

Trout Fishing Books: A Great Way to Learn to Fish

There's an old saying, "If you want to hide something from the public, put it in a book." When trying to learn something new, most of us fail to take the time to take a trip to the local library (or these days a good internet search for an e-book). Learning trout fishing is no exception, get a book! We generally turn to friends and family for advice, but, unless you are related to a world-class angler, there is a lot to learn from reading a good book on trout fishing.

What They Look Like and What They Eat

The first step is learning about trout in general. Pick a book that can teach you to identify some of the most common species like Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Brook Trout. Learning about a trout's diet is particularly important. Trout eat primarily aquatic invertebrates like mayflies and caddis flies. A common misconception is that trout are usually after flying insects. It's actually the opposite. Ninety percent of the time they eat underwater flies that have not matured (this is why worms like nightcrawlers are a good choice for bait). A book that teaches you to identify the different kinds of flies trout eat can help you choose your bait.

Where to Find Them

Your uncle Bob may know where the trout are in your city, but his advice may not help you when you are on vacation across the country or across the world. A good trout fishing book will teach you what kind of trout can be found in lakes vs. rivers vs. brooks. They can show you which locations have natural trout and which have hatchery trout (this is important because hatchery trout tend to prefer different baits). They can help you understand the Riffle-Run-Pool secret of river and brook trout fishing. This trick will help you understand when and how to fish in the different parts of the river based on speed and depth of the water.

Which Bait to Use

There are thousands of options of bait, from live bait to synthetic bait, lures to spoons, dry flies to wet flies, and nymphs to cheese. A good book can teach you when to use a particular type of bait. For example, in the summer after a big bug hatch, if you notice lots of caddis flies flying around your fishing hole, you want to choose a caddis fly imitator like the Elk Caddis Fly.

What Gear or Tackle to Buy

The gear you need to buy depends on the fishing style you choose. Fly fishing combos are totally different from spin fishing combos. A good book can point you in the direction of quality gear and tackle that fits your style and budget.

A Few Good Books

Some popular paperback books on trout fishing include: Trout from Small Streams Book by John Mercer, The Orvis Guide To Reading Trout Streams by Tom Rosenbauer, or Trout Rigs & Methods by Dave Hughes. Or, if you prefer not to wait for shipping, there are some great e-Books on the market that will help make your next fishing trip a success.

Benefits of Reading Books For Youths

At any age, books are always of value to any person. The fundamental education and other life in his life can be acquired when reading books. These reading materials have a wide array of selections that tackle many different topics. Books have been with us since ancient times. The most famous are the books of the Library of Alexandria in Egypt. They were in the form of scrolls but there were a few that were in the form of bonded documents. However, these collections are extinct already. Through the years, still, they have proven to be very influential in the modern way of learning or education.

Because of the presence of books through the different ages, experts have been confirming all the claimed benefits of reading them. These are in general terms and do not take into consideration differences in age, sex, and race. These benefits have been considered thoroughly. This is why even schools today prefer to let students use books than the Internet because of credibility issues. The Internet may have all information that can be obtained more conveniently. However, the validity of this information may not always be verified. With books, one can be sure that the information is true. This is because books do not get published until after several rounds of review. By the time they are published, they are already free of all errors and unverified data.

Anybody who reads books knows that his skills are being sharpened. And his vocabulary is definitely being widened. Books help people understand many different cultures. There are books that tell about the culture and heritage of other countries. Books help keep people informed on the causes and effects happening in the world. They help one understand the past so they may also understand the present and the future. Books also make people more educated and they introduce many ideas to readers to readers so they can become better conversationalists. And, of course, books are a convenient way of learning all these things.

There are so many other benefits of reading a book. And the list can even get longer over time. These reading materials are always worth their cost. Parents should recommend reading to their children because this is a very good and worthwhile hobby. Many people who started reading young developed a higher sense of appreciation for books and this is something they will be able to use as adults. Even for adults who still want to catch up with book-reading, it is and will never be too late. There is so much knowledge that these books can offer and it is up to us how we take advantage of this opportunity to learn.

The Various Types Of Book Clubs

"You may have heard the saying ""different strokes for different folks"". In other words, human as we are, all of us differ in the things that we like including interests, hobbies and others. There are those who would love to spend their free time dancing or swimming with friends or family. Some like to bake or experiment with gourmet cooking while others like to hole up and read book after book during weekends.

People who like to read their days away also tend to like joining book clubs, but again, not all of them have the same type of books that they want to read. This is possibly why many book clubs are emerging so that all who love books may be able to join one. If you're a bookworm yourself, take a look at the different book club specialties which you or anyone in the family may fancy exploring:

1. Children's Book Club

These are organizations or clubs for children between 8-12 years old. The main goal of these clubs is to develop a child's interest in reading and for him to gain more knowledge. This comes, of course, with being able to interact with fellow members. Nevertheless, children who are members of these clubs willl have the opportunity to develop their skills to better express themselves more.

2.Celebrity Endorsement

These clubs focus on famous personalities who recommend different books. Readers can give their opinions in forums about the book. Oprah's Online Book Club is a good example of this type of club.

3. Poetry

In essence, this won't qualify as a book club but it can still be considered one. The members of this club are into reading poems and they have the chance to share their thoughts about it with their fellow members.

4. Science Fiction

True to its classification, these are orgnanizations intended for those who are fans of science fiction. There are science fiction book clubs for both adults and children. Children who are members of sci-fi book clubs will definitely enjoy their membership if they are into learning about invetions and other things related to science.

Signing up for any of these book loving communities is easy. You can check online and choose from a great array of clubs from the Literary Guild to Doubleday Book Club and others which you may find interesting. Always remember that you only join a book club that interests you. If not, you are just wasting your time in joining. After all, book clubs are there to develop and cultivate their members' love for books, regardless of the genre. However, this can give you the opportunity to discover some of your hidden interests. Reading Books..The Popular Pastime With A Fascinating History

If reading books is one of your favorite things, you may find the history of books interesting. In ancient times material that was written on included clay, stone, tree bark, and metal plates. The script was continual with no spaces between words, and was written in both right to left and left to right. Sometimes just every other line was written in a different direction. In the seventh century Irish monks introduced the space between words, but it wasn't until the 12th century that this practice became popular.
About 2400 B.C., papyrus, which was thick and resembled paper, was glued together to form a scroll. The Asians were the last to give up the scroll.
As early as 80 A.D. the Christians began using a codex made from wax tablets on wood, which resulted in a portable book form, which was more compact. This writing material could be used on both sides which made this form economical, and it is believed that the Christians preferred this form since the pagan writings were in scroll form.
When the Roman Empire fell in the fifth century A.D., contact with Egypt ceased, and parchment was substituted for papyrus. Parchment had to be made ready and the book's content planned in advance, with space left blank for illustration. Monasteries had been active in copying books one at a time in gold or silver, and since a certain hour was set aside for reading, the majority of books were found in monasteries. The clergy therefore were the most prolific readers. By the ninth century even in the smaller monasteries these collections numbered 500 volumes. Thanks to the Phoenicians, papyrus was brought to Greece in the 9th century. The Greek word for a papyrus books was biblios, named after the Phoenician town Byblos, which is why today someone who is an avid reader is called a bibliofile.
In the 8th century the Arabs studied the paper industry, and were the first to produce books in paper. The pages were attached with silk, and the cover was a board covered with leather. With the advent of universities in the 13th century, there was an increased demand for books, and copyists were used to copy a number of leaves which were not bound. A scribe was known as a sofer in Jewish communities. According to tradition, the Torah used in Jewish temples could not be printed but had to be written by hand. Books printed before 1500 were known as incunabula.

It wasn't until the 1800's that printing presses powered by steam were used.
In the following years censorship laws were more lax, and the presses were gradually improved. By the middle of the 20th century, the Europeans could produce in excess of 200,000 books per year, eventually leading to the popularity of reading books today. .Read more: http://www.articlesbase.com/history-articles/reading-booksthe-popular-pastime-with-a-fascinating-history-1533258.html#ixzz0pKyutHB2 Under Creative Commons License: Attribution

How Books and Reading Make a Difference in Our Lives

Some people like to read about history, biographies of famous people, science and other non-fiction books or publications. On the other hand, others like to read fiction that takes them to a faraway place and time simply for the pleasure of it. Whether you're reading a book on quantum physics or the latest Paolo Coelho bestseller you bought from the Book of the Month Club, you probably know that reading is food for the soul. It makes our existence rich not only with new information that we gain but more importantly with the emotions that good books elicit in us and the ways that these emotions make us discover ourselves deeper than thought we could. In other words, reading is always a personal experience, whether or not the reasons were personal when we decided to pick up a book and read it.
Of course, this personal encounter we have with books is the first thing we'll yearn for unknowingly when we start reading. But did you know there are more practical uses to the activity? Reading is, in fact, very helpful in our daily lives in ways that we probably never knew before. For example, when we read a lot, our vocabulary naturally increases. When we encounter a word for the first time, we would naturally want to understand what that word is or else, we wouldn't understand completely whatever we're reading. Thus, we look up the meaning of those new words in the dictionary. Each time we do that, we widen our vocabulary.
Another thing we'll always love about reading is the way it improves our spelling. Sometimes, we pronounce words very well without even knowing how they're spelled. When you read a lot, you will see all those commonly misspelled words finally spelled correctly and you're going to learn from that so that next time you have to write those words yourself, you can do it error-free.
When you talk about the benefits of reading, you cannot skip the part where the brain is enhanced by the habit. Yes, reading regularly keeps your brain on its toes and keeps it sharp. In fact, studies show people who read as a routine activity are less likely to develop Alzheimer's disease or any brain-related disease. You can
Lastly, reading is relaxing, therefore, anyone who reads regularly can enjoy rare moments of peace and being one with oneself - a feeling that is possible only when you have a good book that you feel like skipping work over. If you're going to join a book club, you might have a harder time closing that book and getting ready for work each morning. Just the same, you can carry the book around. Just don't let it get in the way of your important tasks.

Digital Book Readers - Reading on the Go Made Simple

If you are the type of person that can devour a novel in a day, then the library is probably one of your dear friends. If you have not yet heard, there is another companion out there just waiting for the reading enthusiast to join its forces: the digital book reader. This electronic device allows you to download and read material just as you would with printed text. Since the end result is the same, you may be asking yourself, "why not stick with borrowing from the library?" E-books can save paper, ink, space and money. In addition, as with a library, there are many free books to be found!

If everyone used a digital book reader instead of reading the books, magazines, and publications on paper, just think of all of the trees that would be saved. The amount of ink wasted annually would also be severely decreased. As far as space is concerned, think about your current collection of books. Now think about the multiple works you may have borrowed from a friend, family member or library. Imagine being able to have all of the information available on a device the size of a notepad, or in some cases, even smaller. Additionally, many of the texts available for these e-readers are priced lower than a hardcover novel. Thousands of e-books are also available as a free download.

The features available on a digital book reader really depend on the model in question. Some of the features you might look for include:

· Dual Screen
Dual screen models offer the ability to use the e-reader as if it were a traditional text.

· E-ink Screen
E-ink offers increased readability without the eyestrain that some people experience when viewing traditional text on an LCD.

· Expandable Memory Option
This allows the user to store more books in the future, should they use up the current amount of memory.

· Library Checkout
Yes, you read that correctly! Some models offer you the opportunity to check books out of the library and view them right on your screen at your convenience.

· Techie Extras
More and more models are now coming standard with webcams, microphones, and even integrated wireless connectivity.

A digital book reader was the next logical step in the staircase that is technology. With the e-readers being so affordably priced, there is no doubt that most households will own at least one in the near future. There is even talk of universities considering these as an alternative to the traditional textbook.

The digital book reader also makes a terrific gift for a child, spouse or good friend. If your child does not seem interested in reading, a gift of an e-reader is sure to open up his eyes! As a side note, if you are considering this purchase for your wife who loves to read while in the tub waterproof cases now make that an option. Additionally, some publishers are opting out of the digital-rights management (DRM) agreement; this means if you purchase one for yourself and a friend, you can legally share the e-books that you purchase, thereby cutting your media costs in half!

Stop Reading Child Disciplining Books - Learn Parenting Discipline Instead

Discipline is a skill. Everyone can develop this skill. It is easy for some, while it is next to impossible for others. This is what discipline does. It forces or encourages you to do what is required of you. It prevents or stops you from doing any activity that is unnecessary, or detrimental to your goals and desires. For example, it takes discipline to stop overeating and to stay on course of your weight loss goals.
With parenting discipline, you learn the skills of efficient parenting. Child disciplining books may not give you the accurate lessons. More than taking lessons, it takes discipline and self-confidence to follow the route of parenting discipline.
If you smoke or drink before your kids, it is parenting indiscipline. Similarly, if you leave your toddler unattended, it is also not parenting discipline. You need to provide a safe and relaxing environment for your kids.
Here are a few pointers that will help you:
If you have a toddler, make sure he/she doesn't have access to anything that can damage your toddler's health. Similarly, remove anything (say, an electronic gadget) that the toddler can damage.
If you shout before your kids, your 'don't shout' lessons have little meaning to your kids. He sees it is OK to shout, as long as you are shouting at a weaker person.
Be consistent in enforcing consequences. If you enforce consequences one day and doesn't do so the next day, it is confusing for your kids. It is bad parenting discipline. You should enforce the consequence - whatever it is, whenever your kid violates your rules or limits.
You may not get these lessons from child disciplining books. After all, our grandparents didn't read any child disciplining books while they raised our parents. It can't be said about our parents though.
Make child disciplining a natural part of your life. It is not to be pulled out when the need arises. It is the way of living. When the kids have some rules or limits, it is applicable for everyone at the home - at least while the kids are around. Then, it is good parenting discipline. It creates a hearty environment at your home.
Teach your kids the ways of successful people early in their lives. Let them grow as individuals of high self-esteem, self-reliance, and decision-making capabilities. Disciplining kids is like giving your kids the tools they need for a highly successful life.

Is "Reading books is useless" virus?

This year the number who apply for entering into college is increasing in some city, but compared to other cities which have the same population, the number is decreasing, it's non-ignorance that there are thousands of students who don't apply for the college among the fresh graduates.
Don't respect talents is the most sad thing of the society's, no good employment policy, excellent talents are hard to stand out, is really non-useful to read books?
Many people think that college students can't learn much in college, so it's better to work early. They may also think that while spending time studying in college, why don't go out and look for a job to make money, as well to get more experience. But a country without high quality talents won't develop. Why is it difficult to join in a famous company? As there are so many applicants, why do the companies exclaim that they can't find the appropriate persons?
Nowadays, the opinion of reading books is useless has become common in the society. Why do many people think that? I think the first reason is that the employ rate for the university graduates is decreasing. It is very difficult to find a job for the graduates. The students studied hard in the high school just in order to enter a university. And when they graduated from the university, they found that they could not hunt a job, which made them upset and disappointed. Then in my opinion the traditional education system of China is also an important reason for the opinion of reading is useless. Students can’t learn real skills in school; most of resources they got in school are the theories that made them not suit the requirement for job.
The modern society needs more cultured people, it’s very necessary to accept higher education for the students. With the development of the technology and economy, more knowledge is a great helpful to devote our country. What's more, further learning is of paramount importance that all the teenagers should have the chance to experience. During this process, not only can you accumulate a great deal of knowledge, but also learn how to learn. It is inescapable for you to learn more when you step into your work in the future. So learning experience in university or college may give you a hand.
With the development of our society, it becomes more and more important to learn more knowledge. Therefore, if you have enough knowledge, you can get a good job and live comfortably and you can obtain respectful from others. If you do not have enough knowledge or do not have knowledge, you can only do work form low level. In such a case you cannot obtain plenty income.

By the middle of the 20th century, the Europeans could produce in excess of 200,000 books per year, eventually leading to the popularity of reading books today. .

Books - More Than Just For Reading

Everyday each of us goes through stress. It comes in many causes, whether be from our jobs, or school, and even within our own household. It is never pleasant. Stress can come in the form of mild headaches, to severe muscle pains. It's things such as this, that requires a soothing spa, or aromatherapy to ease it away. Unfortunately we don't always have that kind of luxury. Fortunately there are stress relievers within our home. It's in our bookshelves, our boxes. Heck sometimes they're under our beds collecting dust! They're called books.

Did you know by curling up with a good book, you can reduce stress? It's because whenever you read books, you become enveloped into the plot, no longer thinking about everyday strains that causes us those stresses. However there are some books that can add onto the strain. Tragedy, and sometimes non-fictional books can cause this, because it doesn't lift our mood. Instead we feel what the characters, or plots in the story in those kinds of books. That doesn't help things at all.

Fictional books can reduce stress greatly, especially when it's a comedy, or a fantasy genre. You become deep within those stories as if you're apart of it. You laugh at the funny scenes in the story, or gasp when a plot twister gets thrown at you. In result of all this, your heavy burdens slowly shake off of you. Inspirational books are another source of mood raisers. When you hear about something positive, and touching, you become happy, and your heart is lifted. Isn't it neat that one of the most obvious things in our house can be used as a healing therapy?

Next time you're feeling down in the dumps, grab yourself a book, curl up in your favorite spot, and read away. Why receive expensive aroma therapies, and spas, when you have the benefits of reading-therapy!

Even though you may be in debt, the fact that you own a home or a car may still be status symbols that keep you chained to all kinds of misery.

On the other hand, income is a bit like dieting. If you eat too much sugar, you will not be able to digest it. In some cases, you may have some predisposition that prevents you from utilizing normal amounts of sugar. Or, put in financial terms, you wind up wasting money. When it comes right down to it, the secret to abundance isn't always about making more money. Rather, it is about using your money efficiently and effectively. Today, meditation books can help you short out the spiritual and emotional factors that help you to make enough money, as well as reduce the avenues that cause you to spend too much.

When you are stressed out and caught in a situation, it becomes very difficult to think about other options. For example, if you are stuck in a car lease, or have a car loan, you may believe that you have to put up with it until the loan period is over. As may be expected, if you start practicing the solutions found in meditation books, you will be able to connect to the nature and gain more energy to pursue other hobbies.

Reading Books to Broaden Your Child's Horizons

Books are a great way to introduce your child to the world. As they read about characters, fictional or real, they begin to understand their own problems better. It has been said that reading books is an affordable way to travel the world. Books are intellectually stimulating and they impart lots of facts. Books are also a source of great entertainment, if they are read and not left to gather dust on the shelf.

Books are the way that one generation shares its experiences and wisdom with the next generation. Books are a great gift of ideas and answers to many of life's conundrums. You do not need an appointment to "meet" some famous or great person if you can read their thoughts that they shared in a book.

Books are also a great way to get to know ourselves. As we read about someone else, we naturally put ourselves in their place in our imagination. Would we have felt the same way or acted the same way? You can certainly take a book at face value and never give it another thought after you have read it. However, a book can be more fun for your child if you talk about it. Would you have been as brave as Lucy in Narnia? Would you have been as cheerful as Cinderella to do all the chores day after day? These kinds of reflections can help us to get to know ourselves better. Books may even inspire us to try to be better than our daily selves. Admiring the strength of book heroes can make us stronger when facing our own trials.

It is no wonder than educators have long emphasized the importance of reading books, beginning with the very young child. Children, and babies too, need to be read to long before they can read to themselves. By listening to books being read to them, children gain knowledge and experiences that they may never see for themselves. What is it like on a farm? How did people work, play and live a hundred years ago?

In addition to stories, books can teach us a lot about our physical world. Children love to learn about bugs, birds, animals and other real things. Reading books to children can also stimulate a love for language. Reading poetry or rhymes is an effective way to get children to think about the sounds of words and to help them remember things. Find a regular time each day to read to your child. If he or she brings you a book any time during the day, try to put down what you are doing, and take the time right then to read the book. By this action you will be telling your child that reading is important.

Top Books For Men

TOP FIVE BOOKS FOR MEN
The following are the books that I have read in the past years in which I would say played an important role in my development as man who is loved my many women.
1. How to be the Jerk Women Love (F.J. Shark) No questions ask. This is the Ultimate Jerk Bible. F.J. Shark made a wonderful job in writing this masterpiece. The book tours you inside the mind of women, their tactics and defenses in maneuvering the relationship. At the same time as the title suggest, it shows you how a jerk managed to bypass this prime defenses to become the one to control the relationship - THE ART OF CARING LESS. This book is a must read.
2. Art of Seduction (Robert Greene) If reincarnation is true, then Robert Greene is the reincarnation of Machiavelli. But in this case he is no longer writing in the subject of politics but rather in the secret knowledge of seduction. If I were to ask I would say that all pick up and seduction books have been inspired in one way or another by this book. The Machiavellian style of historical writing that he used in this book is undoubtedly very useful to convince your mind that people since time of memorial is seducing each other. Honestly, I want to see how an academic like Robert Greene plays in the field!
3. The Game (Neil Strauss) Oh yeah! The game! The book which became the starting point of most so called pick up artist nowadays. Me too start with this one. In my opinion this book is a more solid motivational books rather than a technique book. Though you can learn here the fundamentals of the game, I am sure that it is possible for you to misunderstand or misuse most of the ideas in here if you are stuck reading only this book. However, the skyrocketing motivation this book will give to you can never be discounted.
4. Double Your Dating Attraction is not a Choice (David De Angelo) De Angelo made a wonderful job in compiling all the theoretical basis, both scientific and philosophical for you to become a real man (jerk). Though you can manage to have success in becoming a jerk even if you don't read him, the insights and knowledge that he offered will help you in understanding why your actions work. Aside from that, his this material is a great additional tool when you teach the art of jerkness to other men.
5. Men are Mars Women Are from Venus (John Gray) Ha! You wonder why this one is here? Okay, I will tell it to you now! The only reason why I put this book in here is for you to know or have any idea what NOT TO DO or what NOT TO BE to become a successful jerk. Just DO THE OPPOSITE of most the things that are written here and you will have a clear sense of WHAT A JERK IS AND WHAT A JERK IS NOT. The topic of identifying and using CONTRAST in your Art Studies will be useful here!
These are the books that guided me in my own self development course. These are the books that help me to achieve what I am today. I trust these books however in the end, as we all know, the most important variable in your development is yourself. These things are useless if you are convinced by yourself that you can change.
